“Extended Triangle Pose”

Facing the mountains in the distance, look at the landscape like a painting. Observe all the lines forming from the foreground right up to the Plaine Morte glacier. You can see plenty of angles created where the lines cross.
Study the illustration of the pose: you can see a large triangle, a smaller one between the legs and another between the thigh, torso and front arm. Look at the line traced by the arms between the hand on the ground and the hand in the air. To enter the pose, stand with your legs apart and raise both arms to shoulder height. Turn your right foot 90° outwards and the left foot slightly inwards. Now imagine someone is pulling you by the right hand, bringing your chest towards your foot. Feel the line formed by your arms. Tilt the line so that the tips of the fingers of your right hand come into contact with your shin or the ground and your left hand reaches up to the sky. Feel your torso fully stretched on both sides and your chest pushed out facing the landscape. You can look either ahead or towards your left hand. Visualise yourself, as if you were looking at yourself from outside: you and your beautiful lines in this landscape between here and the glacier, between the earth and the sky.
