“Goddess Pose”

Start off in the Mountain Pose. Breathe in, spread your legs wide with your feet turned outwards (like a duck) and bend your knees. Try to keep your knees in line with your ankles, as if they were facing in the same direction as your feet. Imagine that you are sat on a tree trunk and relax your lower back. Open your arms parallel to the ground and hold them at shoulder height. Bend your elbows so that your arms form a right angle with your palms facing forward. Look at the tree in front of you, feel your chest wide open and let your heart breathe!

Facing this tree with a thousand branches and secrets, let the magic and powerful force of the goddess take you over. Think about all the paths this tree has taken to grow so large and take the shape it has today. Listen to the tree – perhaps you’ll hear it whispering a message to you. Feel your feet against the earth and imagine your heart and tummy glowing: Repeat the phrase “I trust” or “I trust in the paths that life gives me to live” a number of times.
